Secret Garden Coloring Book

Some colouring books can be really intimidating. Secret Garden has been one of them for me. I hoarded this book for more than a year but today, on a whim, I busted it out and decided to be brave. I often get lost in the quest for perfection but having been to a few art classes recently and getting used to mediums like watercolour and oil paint, I realize that this shouldn’t be the way. Any artistic pursuit no matter how trivial should not be over analysed. Just let it flow and it’s really about practice. Nothing perfect is achieved immediately so have patience! These books are meant to be fun. Also I found that it is possible to watercolour in these books. Just needs a light hand and go easy on the water. It’s so much less taxing on my hands than colour pencils!
